Lindsay Shilling
One of the original cast from the days of the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble!
Lindsay began his musical career with his hometown brass band, Chatteris. He then studied at the Royal College of Music with John Iveson and Arthur Wilson and soon began to work with the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble and free-lance with London based symphony orchestras.
In 1994, he joined the section of the London Symphony Orchestra and three years later, was appointed as the principal with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
After seven years, he moved to his current principal position with the Royal Opera House, where he has more time to teach at the Royal College of Music.
